For as long as I can remember I've been in love with picknicking. The idea of grazing on great food that has been cooked and packed to go on a journey with a group of friends or family members somehow reflects the innocence of simply having a great time.
I'm sure it's because we used to picnic as a family when we were kids. And I'm equally sure that when we picknicked our parents weren't bickering .... they seemed like they were also having fun. So that's stuck with me .... and every opportunity I get I try to picnic in some form or other.
I guess that's why I came up with the concept of creating a 'new movement' centred around those who like to eat outdoors or even those who like to simply graze indoors....hence the name Picnic Society.
Why not create a place for picnic lovers to be at home and why not get to the heart and some of what today's picnic means to people of all ages and backgrounds.
So lets mix fond memories with a bit of whimsy and start collecting picnic friends around the organising theme of Picnic Society.
Today's question - what's your MOST favourite picnic food?

I love a French picnic! Crusty baguettes, gooey cheese, rustic saucisson, washed down with a cheery quaffable beaujolais. Add fine company and you have the perfect picnic!
